Introducing the PADEL study

Event Description

We are pleased to invite colleagues across England to take part in the PADEL Study (Pharmacogenomics of Anti-Depressants: Economics and Life Outcomes); a major new primary care research study exploring whether pharmacogenomic-guided prescribing can improve outcomes for patients starting antidepressant treatment.

The aim of the PADEL study is to assess whether pharmacogenomic-guided prescribing can improve first-line antidepressant treatment in adults treated in UK general practice for depressive or anxiety disorders. PADEL has been specifically designed to fit alongside routine care pathways using an asynchronous recruitment model to minimise workload for practices.
