Genomics Conversation Week 2025 is an opportunity to celebrate the impact of genomics across the NHS and highlight how and where it is transforming care.
Running from 3-7 November 2025, this national awareness week invites everyone working in healthcare – from clinicians and scientists, support staff and students – to get involved and explore how genomics is shaping the future of medicine. This year's theme is 'Creating Connections', so throughout the week, the regional Genomic Medicine Service Alliances will invite colleagues from across the NHS to share stories, take part in local events, and join conversations.
Through shared experiences and practical examples, the campaign encourages NHS colleagues to learn more about when and how genomics might be relevant in their roles – and where to find help and training to build confidence in talking about it.In collaboration with the Genomics Education Programme, the seven Genomic Medicine Service Alliances are leading activities across England, including online sessions, resources, and stories from individuals whose lives have been changed by genomics.
Everyone can get involved – whether by taking a couple of minutes to watch a short film, exploring online learning, or joining the conversation on social media.
Together, we can raise awareness and help make genomics part of everyday practice across the NHS.
More detail will follow in the next couple of weeks prior to the week itself, but to find out more and access campaign resources by visiting the Genomics Education Programme's website, this website's specific Genomic Conversation 2025 page, or following #GenomicsConversation on social media.
